Victory - Chick Church (January 2023)
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]

This year the victory of Jesus Christ is abiding over your life. He died on the cross for you and said it is finished. The victory is still working in your life today. We can be excited about all that he has for us this year.
Remember, you do not have to accept defeat in your life. This year is not another year where you “hold on”. It is a year of conquering and obtaining. Sometimes we are too passive with the enemy. We let him drag us along, and we deal with it. But not this year! In 2023, we are going to stand up and use our authority.
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19 NIV
If you can get abiding victory into your spirit, the trajectory of your year will be completely different than it was before. Decide now that you will not give up your victory this year.
Avoid these three common reasons that people give up on victory:
1. We think that God is taking too long. We believe God is bound by time. We look at the timelines in our human eyes and believe we are going to lose. God is telling us that he doesn’t operate on our timeline, so don’t quit.
2. We look at our situation through the lens of possibility. When we look at our situation, we can’t see how things are possible or could work out. We believe it is just too hard for God. It is the perfect recipe for victory to break forth when things get impossible. Stop making a peace treaty with the enemy because things look impossible.
3. We get too tired. Sometimes we allow the situation to take our strength. God never called us to do it in our own strength. You can rest in peace and joy and know he has it all taken care of. Galatians 6:9 says, “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
You carry the name of Jesus Christ upon your life. Nothing of the enemy can enter your life this year. We are declaring Victory in 2023! Congratulations on the best year of your life!
