All Things Relationships - Part 1 of Q&A with Pastors Joie and Nathan

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful, or proud, or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.  It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.  Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Join me this month as we talk about all things relationships, from family to marriage to romance! My husband, Pastor Nathan Miller, joins me to answer your questions about navigating life together as parents to five children and in full-time ministry.

How have we found balance in all that we do, as well as ensuring we choose to put God first within the context of our marriage and still keep it fun after 24 years? We will discuss the way we met, how we bonded over our faith, and be sure we always turn to Him for guidance. We knew we needed to keep the Holy Spirit at the center of our relationship for it to succeed as two young kids and fulfill the promises God put on our hearts!

We will discuss what to do if you are feeling unequally yoked in your marriage, the things we love most about one another, and how we continue to develop the friendship and spark within the marriage.

1 Peter 4:8 tells us, “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.” We are called to operate in love, using a grace lens over our eyes to be more gentle and kind in our relationships. Choosing to see what is good in your relationships is not always easy, but focusing on making it fruitful is needed.

It all comes down to the fundamentals. The number one key is to become love. The more you become love, the more you become like God, and the more one you become with God, the more one you become with your spouse.

The love of God is what makes you whole! Allow God's love to mold and shape you, and you will have a love that fulfills you to give on to your relationships!
