The Mrs. Rev Podcast: The Fuel of Frustration

Have you ever been so frustrated that you became discouraged? Unfortunately, frustration is a sign that you have been letting a bad habit, attitude, or issue go on unaddressed. But you do not have to live with this frustration! If you let it, frustration can be fuel for change!

If you expect things to change, you have to be willing to change!

“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13

If you let him, God will use the frustration you are feeling to produce a desire for change, and that desire will lead to action! Instead of trying to do it on your own, ask God for the power to change. Ask Him to help you come up with creative solutions and stick with the plan.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.” James 1:22-25’

Everything in your life can be figured out with God’s help. Listen to the Word, identify areas of your life that do not line up with it, and obey what the Word says!

Pray this: God, thank you for having good plans for me. Help me to see that even in difficult situations, you are working. Help me see that you have a way out of every challenge and trial. I know that by your Holy Spirit anything is possible. I’m ready to make a change in my life! Thank you for giving me the creativity and tenacity to see results in my life and fulfill every plan you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
