You Are Enough!
I love growing things--plants, vegetables, and children (we have five)!
In fact, when we first moved a little further into the country, I wanted to grow all of our veggies; now, 5 years later, I’ve resorted to a little herb garden on my back porch. Everything else comes either from the farmers market or the grocery store (haha). I had to give it a try!
The best part about growing things is seeing the progression from seed to fruit. How does something so small and seemingly insignificant produce bountiful harvest?
Everything that a plant needs to grow and produce is already inside of that seed. It doesn't have to change or conform to be what it is meant to be and produce what it is meant to produce. With the proper elements, that seed will become what it is destined to be.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him." Ephesians 1:3
Everything God has destined for you is already inside of you too! You are enough. Right now, every excuse you can think of for not excelling in what God has purposed you to do can be erased! You are walking and breathing destiny! You don't have to tone yourself down and think you are inadequate or ill-equipped to prosper. When God created you, He made you specifically for the purpose He has for you to fulfill! God put it all in there; your responsibility is to get it out!
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:10
There isn't a day on your calendar marked "Destiny Fulfilled." It's moving forward every day in the knowledge that God has made provision within you for everything you need, and it's the small steps of obedience you take every day that grow that seed into the full potential of all it can be! So, if you are waiting on God, you can stop waiting! Instead of waiting, start developing! Develop yourself in God's Word and in prayer. Start using the gifts and abilities He's put upon your life in whatever measure you are able to.
Think about this: we measure our kids every year. Just because they grew inches instead of feet doesn't mean they are not growing! The right elements put in your life daily mixed with the potential and provision that God has already put inside of you will guarantee fruit!
So, bloom where you’re planted. Bloom right where you are!
Don't waste another day wondering if you can. Know that, with God, all things are possible. With that revelation, you will excel in everything you do. When you understand the wonderful creation God has made through you, you will settle into the truth that with Christ, you lack nothing!
Grow, develop yourself, and seek out the gifts of God that are ALREADY on your life! Grow yourself in the knowledge of God's Word, and work hard at your craft. But, keep in mind, that Christ in you makes you more than adequate, and if He is for you--which He is--then there is nothing that can stop you!
Don't stop yourself; don't let doubt paralyze you from fulfilling your purpose! You are already enough--fully equipped and fully empowered--so go be amazing today!
