Walking in God's Favor!

Do you ever feel like you’re doing everything you know to do, but you still aren’t seeing breakthrough? When you’re doing the right things, the answer isn’t to try harder. The answer is to lean into the favor of God on your life! In today’s podcast, we’re breaking down what favor is, what it is not, and how you can start walking in God’s favor today! 

Q: Before listening to this podcast, how did you define favor? Did your definition change? How so?

There are a lot of misconceptions about how to have God’s favor, so let’s set the record straight. First of all, you can’t rationalize it. Favor isn’t something you earn, and it isn’t something reserved for pastors or CEOs, or influencers. You have access to God’s favor right now because of Jesus Christ.

Q: How do you feel when you think about receiving the favor of God? What misconceptions do you need to correct in your mindset?

A great example of God’s favor is Joseph’s life.

Joseph was his father’s favorite son, and God spoke to Joseph in dreams. His brothers jealously attacked him and sold him to slave traders. God showed Joseph favor through every negative situation, being attacked, slavery, and being unjustly imprisoned. Even his enemies could see that he was set apart and different because of the favor of God, and he prospered in every situation.

You have access to this kind of favor too, and seeing it come to pass starts with adjusting your mindset. Speak these verses and declarations over your life today and meditate on God’s faithfulness to fulfill the promises in His Word.

Pray this: Father God, help me to accept the free gift of your favor. Show me any mindsets that are holding me back from having everything you planned for me. Use me for Your glory in any way you want. In Jesus’s name, amen.
