Point of View = Faith

When you’re going through a challenge, will you choose to expect the worst or have the point of view of faith? If you want to see God work a miracle, your point of view matters! Sometimes that means you must look beyond your natural circumstances and discern what God wants to do in your life. Today we’re talking about keeping faith as your point of view by looking at the prophet Jeremiah and the book of Ephesians.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” - Ephesians 11:11-14

When you’re going through a challenge, you may feel like your crying or pity party is justified. But you must remember that victory is on the other side of your situation! Hold onto the perspective of faith!

Throughout the Word of God, the Lord would share some divine perspective with his people, especially the prophets. He asks Jeremiah, what do you see with your spirit? Jeremiah replies that he sees an olive branch. God then replied that he saw correctly and explained what Jeremiah could expect.

God is no different now! If you ask, he will show you how he is working in your situation and help you keep a perspective of faith!

Discernment is understanding what God is doing even in the middle of a situation that doesn’t look like it is going according to faith or victory.

If you want to change your perspective, try following these three steps:

  1. Perceive what is happening.

Ask God for fresh revelation about what he is doing in your life!

  2. Speak out victory

Look for scriptures you can stand on and speak them out loud over your situation!

  3. Keep sowing the right seed.

The seed you’re planting might be as simple as loving someone who is actively speaking against you, or maybe it is continuing to tithe when your bank account is getting lower and lower. Don’t get tired of doing good. You will see the fruit of your faith!

Pray this: Father God, I know that your ways are higher than my ways and that you’re using every situation in my life for my good. Help me to see your perspective and to align my faith with your promises. This season may be hard, but I trust that you will show me more of your character. Help me to become who you want me to be, in Jesus’s name, amen!
