Dealing With Conflict As a Christian Woman

Does the word conflict make you want to run and hide? We often think of conflict as a bad thing, but really, there is a way to disagree while walking in love and enjoying the relationship! After all, even Jesus had to deal with conflict. Your ability to handle conflict correctly will help you be more established as a leader and grow as a Christian. Today, we’re talking about a few ways that you can navigate conflict based on the Word of God.

  1. Don’t respond immediately.

  2. “An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.” - Proverbs 29:22

  3. Don’t over-respond.

  4. “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:17

  5. Don’t ignore conflict.

  6. “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” Matthew 18:15-16

Pray this: Father God, thank you for laying out a clear way to deal with conflict. Help me to have the strength and patience to work through conflict instead of ignoring it. Teach me how to recognize and address conflict before it causes any bitterness in my heart. I trust you to lead me, and I thank you for always doing what is best for me! In Jesus’ name, amen!
