Give The Enemy An Eviction Notice
If you're feeling frustrated by strife in your marriage, destructive patterns in your kids, or sickness in your house, it's time to start kicking the devil out of your life! When you're a Christian, things don't just magically work out for you. You have to know the rights God gave you through his word and take action! Today we're talking about how to give the enemy an eviction notice and make your home a place of peace, joy, and victory!
When it comes to your life, the buck stops with you. You can make excuses and play the blame game, but it all comes down to you. As a woman, you have to take responsibility for raising your kids and running your home. If something happens that you don't like, find out what God's Word says about it.
But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt. - Exodus 12:13
Like God made covenant promises to the Israelites, he gives us promises through His Word. If God said it, you can believe it! It's time for us to stand up and take the authority Jesus has given us. Sometimes women can let their compassion for their family override their faith. We want to fix the problem immediately when God is asking us to trust him and take action on our faith.
"Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do." James 1:23-25
In other words, our faith works by action!
Tell the devil he can't cross the line and then take authority. If there are things that are frustrating you with your children and marriage, ask yourself what God has called YOU to do to fix it. Make the changes within the boundary lines God has given you the authority to make.
Pray this: Father God, thank you for your love and sacrifice for me. I know that without you, I would be dead in sin. Thank you for giving me new life and giving me the authority to live in health, wholeness, and prosperity. If there is any area of my life where I am allowing the devil to have ground, reveal it to me. Help me have the self-discipline and tenacity to stand my ground in faith. As of today, the devil can't mess with my marriage, my family, my finances, or my home in Jesus' name!
