Feeling Stuck?

We’ve all been there. Sometimes you can feel disappointed and insecure about your dreams. Or maybe you have been praying and praying but you haven’t seen anything happen. Regardless of what is making you feel stuck, I want you to know that you don’t have to stay stuck! This week I'm talking about three things you can do when you feel stuck to help you get back on track and keep moving forward.

1. Continue to do good

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

When you are doing the right things, you can know that you will reap a harvest. Those good things can be spiritual, like praying and reading the Bible, or physical, like exercising and eating right. Maybe you’re building a business and you’re doing everything you know how to do. Just keep going and do not give up. Your harvest is waiting on the other side of your feelings!

2. Learn to Control your Soul

You need to be led by your spirit and not your emotions. When you’re feeling stuck, you’re listening to your emotions. Usually, your emotions want you to quit when your spirit wants to keep going.

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God,” Psalm 45:5

Nothing will suck faith faster than trying to rationalize it in your mind

3. Inquire of the Lord

The spirit of God reveals what we are not seeing. He’ll give you keys to succeeding in whatever he has called you to do. You can talk to God about it directly or read His word. The word of God is alive and active. It can help you override your emotional feelings.

Q: Do you feel stuck right now? Ask God what to do! Get alone with him with a pen and paper and let Him speak to you.

Pray this: Father, thank you for knowing everything about me. Show me how to move forward. Help me to override my feelings and replace them with your truth. I don’t want to let anything hold me back from what you have called me to do. I don’t want anything to hold back my faith to see the impossible happen. I know that the best is yet to come. Whenever I get discouraged, help me to remember your faithfulness! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
