SHOW NOTES:
If you’re going to be a strong Christian woman of faith who withstands the storms of life, you have to be rooted in God’s love.
Some seasons appear completely different than you ever imagined. There’s never a time in life when you’ll be completely free from trial or opposition. However, when you are rooted in God's love, it doesn’t matter what comes against you. Yes, you may stumble, but you will rise again.
Resilience isn’t accidental— it’s an intentional decision. We can choose to be a victim or walk in victory by putting on the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit.
The belt of truth is a reminder of who we are in Christ. When you understand God’s love for you, you know your Heavenly Father won’t allow the enemy to have an inch over your life.
The breastplate of righteousness is right standing with God. When the enemy wants to come to attack your heart, operate in peace, love, and joy.
The shoes of the gospel of peace keep you grounded in a peace that surpasses all understanding.
The shield of faith extinguishes the flaming darts of the evil one. When the enemy tries to play his hand, speak the Word of God over your situation.
The helmet of salvation deters lies from penetrating your mind. Lies put limits on your life, but the helmet of salvation enables you to take thoughts captive. If what you’re believing isn’t in God’s Word, it wasn’t from Him.
The sword of the spirit is the Word of God and the only offensive and defensive part of our armor. Fight back against attacks from the enemy with the sword of the spirit.
Maturing into all that God longs for you to become begins with putting the past behind you and believing no circumstance can separate you from the love of Christ. God has given you all the grace and power you need to overcome—you just have to decide whether you’re going to get up and say, “I’m still standing!”
