Valentine's Date Ideas
Valentine’s Date Ideas
It’s that time of the year again when stores are filled with pinks and reds of everything from flowers and balloons to cards and candy. While the traditional holiday of Valentine’s Day may not be for everyone, it’s always a nice excuse to go on a date night with your husband or boyfriend or get your friends together for a fun night out.
If you’re still looking for date ideas to do this February, here are some to consider:
Date Night In:
Make a charcuterie board together (and maybe some other fun apps), light some candles, and pull up a fun movie or play a game for a relaxing night in together.
Date Night Out:
An old fashion date… Do these still happen anymore? I’m talking about dinner and a movie! If you don’t have reservations at a fancy restaurant, chances are they are fairly booked – so do the next best thing. Grab a bite to eat at a local, casual restaurant and then head to a movie theater for a flick, popcorn, and candy.
Quick & Last Minute:
Valentine’s dates don’t have to be complicated. Go out to breakfast or make it together at home. Or sneak out for some dessert after dinner at home. Either can be done on a whim, any day!
Galantines:
In: Have a board party! Everyone creates a charcuterie board of their favorite snacks/food to bring and share. Pinterest has creative ideas for these. Some examples include candy, tacos, wings, fruit, and anything!
Out: Throw on that dress you’ve had in the back of your closet and a pair of heels and head out to brunch! If you’re local to the Pittsburgh area, my recommendations for this year are DiAnoia’s in the strip or The Speckled Egg, located in the Union Trust Building.
