The Resurrection and the Life

We are in full-swing Easter tradition mode.

I am a stickler for fitting all of our favorite traditions into the holiday! Even though my kids are getting older, they still love our traditions! One of my personal favorites is making Resurrection Bread. Easter is a beautiful reminder of our heart encounter with the One who is the Resurrection and the Life.

Easter is about life and victory. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life." When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, the story was seemingly over, but with His resurrection comes hope! Jesus defeated sin and conquered the grave, and because He did, hope is alive in you!

Nothing seems more final than death. Yet, three days later, there was an empty grave! What are the areas in your life that seem final? There is nothing in life that is beyond the hope that comes through The Resurrection! One of my favorite lines from a song recently is, "For every fear, there is an empty grave;" whatever you are facing or will ever face, there is an empty grave that trumps your fears!  He overcame, so we are overcomers!

Let hope take root in your heart as you celebrate the risen Messiah! He lives, and because He lives and has conquered, you can live and flourish in life!

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by the same spirit living within you." Romans 8:11

The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you and gives you life! Not only life but life to its fullest (John 10:10)! Let the empty grave remind you today that there is absolutely nothing that is even remotely hard for God!

Allow Holy Spirit to once again breathe life over the areas of your life that you may feel are dead or that you've written off as hopeless! As the resurrection power of Christ restores hope to your heart, watch in expectation as life begins to bud again!

Start speaking life over areas that have brought you disappointment; speak life over your dreams and purposes! Keep speaking life and faith over your situation and watch as buds begin to break forth!

He is the Resurrection and Life-- eternally and presently!  There is nothing too hard for God, and if death itself couldn't stop Him, then you should take the limits off of what He will do in and through YOU! He makes all things new!

I'm praying new hope rises in you and that you will live out of an understanding of the power in you! That, if death itself couldn't stop Jesus and His power is alive in you, then you too are unstoppable!

Happy Resurrection!
