February Activities For Kids
February is a great time to celebrate love, whether before or after Valentine’s Day. See the family-friendly “love” activity ideas from our guest blogger, Melodie Schwesinger.
Cooking in the kitchen with your children is always a fun learning experience for both parties. It allows children to work with their hands and see how rewarding it is to make something from start to finish. It can also be a fun bonding experience. And on top of it, you get a delicious meal out of it! Here are some fun ideas to do with your kids at any time!
1.) Make homemade healthy 🍩 donuts:
2c oat flour
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1/4 c coconut oil
1/2 c raw honey
2/3 c grass-fed Greek yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract
(Combine - don’t over mix)
Grease the donut pan (I used avocado oil) and pipe the dough in.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min.
2.) Make pizza shaped like a heart. Kids always love when the food is in a fun shape, whether before or after Valentine’s Day!
3.) Take your children on a fun shopping trip to the store) and have them pick out flowers and greens and allow them to create their own bouquets. (Trader Joe’s is my favorite place to buy flowers) If you want to get fancy, they can pick fresh fruit and make edible arrangements.
4.) Have them make homemade cards and hand them out to their friends or neighbors.
