Winter Date Ideas
It’s winter but love is in the air! As Valentine’s Day gets closer, you may be wondering, “how can I plan a date in cold, snowy weather?” Remember, it is always important to celebrate the love that God blessed you with regardless of the season. So, grab your honey and enjoy some of these fun activities that will make you sad to see the snow melt and the trees blossom.
A cuddly night in: A night out doesn’t have to be expensive, and in fact, it doesn’t even have to be out; you can stay in! Get a babysitter and order dinner in because this is one of my favorite winter dates. Grab a blanket, pop some popcorn, and buy some candy from the dollar store before enjoying your favorite movie together.
Coffee & dessert: Grab your man and jump in the car for coffee and dessert! This is a great alternative to eating a full meal out. ( I mean we all just want to get to dessert anyway, right?) Think ahead of some conversation starters and try keeping your phone put away.
Snow tubing: This is an activity that is fun to try together! Keep your marriage fun and try something new, even if it means you have to get out of your comfort zone. You do not need any experience for snow tubing. Plus, you do not even have to buy full winter snow gear. You will laugh together and have fun. That’s always a win!
Sign up for a class: A great way to spice up your relationship is to learn something new together. From painting to cooking, you may even discover a new hobby that you both love!
Exercise Together: Kill two birds with one stone and make the gym a date night. Don’t forget to flirt; allow yourself to have fun with your spouse! Top the night off by getting a smoothie together before heading home.
Experience culture: Do some research and choose a play or musical to experience together. Even if you do not consider yourself artsy, the experience in and of itself is a blast. Get dressed up and start the night with dinner, and end it with coffee and conversation about the event.
Enjoy spending time with your significant other regardless of the conditions outside. And if you happen to be somewhere warm where the sun is shining, enjoy for all of us in Pittsburgh!
